As we head into the last days of 2018 — and one of the biggest drunk driving nights of the year — it's a good time to review some sobering statistics. As it turns out, Kentucky is definitely in the top half of states with the highest rate of impaired driving fatalities.
Many of us pride ourselves at our ability to multitask. At work, we may check email while sitting in a meeting. At home, parents keep an eye on the kids while powering through the daily household chores.
It's been a bad month for bus accidents. Already in December, there have been three unrelated, fatal collisions involving school or charter buses ferrying kids to school-related activities and events. The three separate bus wrecks occurred in Indiana, Illinois and Arkansas.
